Pilsner UPL Monthly Awards: Mukwala, Byekwaso Scoop November Gongs

URA FC striker Steven Mukwala and KCCA FC gaffer Morley Byekwaso have been named Pilsner UPL Player and Coach of the month of November respectively.

The duo take home a plague and Sh1m each courtesy of Pilsner Lager.

Mukwala scored five goals and assisted twice in the concluded month of November.

The forward scored four against Tooro United and one against BUL FC. The former Maroons forward also registered two assists each against Tooro United and Vipers as he summed up a fruitful month.

“I am delighted to have won this accolade, being a winner here is a big milestone for me,” briefly commented Mukwala who beat URA FC teammate Cromwell Rwothomio and Wakiso Giants Titus Ssematimba.

Byekwaso becomes the first manager to retain the accolade having won the award in October as well.

“I am so privileged to be here again,” started Byekwaso.

“I thank the almighty for these accolades. I thank my Technical team and players. I commend the club management for their input. I urge my players to stay focused because this league is a marathon.”

Byekwaso helped KCCA FC to three wins in four games – They drew 1-1 with Bright Stars before beating UPDF, Arua Hill and BUL.

The KCCA-BUL game has been included because it was a continuation of Match-day 8 despite being played on December 1st.

He edges a much fancied Wakiso Giants coach Alex Gitta who won three in four games. Vipers coach Roberto Oliveira was a nominee as well.

Richard Kikawa and Pius Kadapao Pilsner Fan of Month of November and will share Sh500,000.
