Onduparaka Deducted Points, To Replay KCCA Abandoned Match As Three Banned

Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka FC have been deducted two points and two goals after ugly scenes during their abandoned match with KCCA FC on December 27 2021 at Greenlight Stadium in Arua.

The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has also ordered the abandoned match between Onduparaka and KCCA FC to be replayed at a neutral venue.

The said match was prematurely ended in added time at 2-2 after Onduparaka fans stormed the pitch in protest of Referee Ronald Madanda’s decision to award KCCA FC a late Penalty.

The ruling posted on FUFA Website reads in part:

Onduparaka FC is hereby sanctioned with; an immediate deduction of two (2) points and two (2) goals from those already accumulated by the club; a suspended one (1) point and one (1) goal deduction and; a suspended closed stadium sanction for home games.

The development means that Onduparaka who had 12 points, remain on 10 points.

Referee Madanda who earlier awarded Onduparaka a dubious penalty, has been suspended until June 30 2022 for unjustified poor officiating which gravely affected the game.

Onduparaka player Rashid Okocha has been suspended until May 31 2022 and fined Sh1m for attacking a match official.

Onduparaka CEO Edson Saba Saba has been suspended from all football activities for 90 days for inciting violence amongst the fans.
