Transfers: KCCA Sends Out Kawooya on Loan

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC have confirmed Midfielder Andrew Kawooya has joined UPDF FC on loan.

“KCCA FC and UPDF FC have agreed on the loan transfer of Midfielder Andrew Kawooya till the end of the 2021/22 season,” reads apart of KCCA FC Statement on their website.

Andrew Kawooya who was donning shirt 12 joined KCCA FC in September 2020 and scored one goal for the Kasasiro Boys in his first start against Kitara FC last season.

The former Lweza, Proline FC and Vipers SC youngster previously represented Uganda at the 2018 CECAFA U-17 and 2019 U-17 AFCON in Tanzania.

He was also named in the final squad for the Uganda Men’s U20 side that finished first runners up in the AFCON U20 in Mauritania in 2021.

KCCA have so far signed Fullback Filbert Obenchan in the ongoing secondary transfer window who returned to the club after he was initially released at the start of the season when his contract expired.

The Morley Byekwaso side sits top of the league with 31 points after 14 matches.

Kawooya’s new temporary home, UPDF are on a run of a poor form after going six matches without a win that saw them drop to 9th on the log with 19 points after 15 matches.
