Denis Otim: URA Complete Signing of Express Goalkeeper

Uganda Premier League side URA FC has completed the signing of goalkeeper Denis Otim on a two years deal.

Otim joins the Tax Men from Express FC and he was officially unveiled on Monday morning.

“URA FC is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Denis Otim has joined the club on a 2 years contract. Otim joins in from Express FC and he is expected to beef up our goalkeeping department,” reads a statement from URA.

Otim had joined the Red Eagles way back in 2020 after ending his stay at Mbarara City.

And in his first season at the club, he helped Express win the CECAFA Kagame Cup and StarTimes Uganda Premier League in the same season, playing as an assistant to then Mathias Muwanga.

But after the departure of Muwanga a season later, Otim became the first choice at Express not until his departure recently.

At URA, he will be expected to fill the void left by goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi, who is set to leave the club.

He will be competing for a starting slot with the likes of Nafian Alionzi.

Reports suggest that the club has parted ways with goalkeepers Hannington Ssebwalunyo and James Alitho.

Otim becomes seventh signing after teenagers Kisiriko Denis Luzige, Kisolo John Innocent, Amis Bwangani , Godfrey Sekibengo, Aliro Moses Okabo and Ibrahim Wammanah who were recently unveiled at the club.
