•KIU Titans 66-72 City Oilers (0-2)

City Oilers emerged victorious with a 72-66 win over KIU Titans in game two of the NBL finals series at YMCA Court in Wandegeya.

The Oilers who lead the best of seven series 2-0, look on course to win the NBL title for a ninth consecutive time.

Trailing by three after the third quarter, The Oilers’ resilience was particularly evident in the final quarter, where they outscored the Titans 22-13, ultimately turning the tide in their favor.

Jimmy Enabu was outstanding for the City Oilers, recording 19 points during the game, including a clutch 3-pointer that ultimately put the game to bed.

Titus Lual scored a double double of 13 points and 11 rebounds while Luak Ruai and James Okello added 14 and 11 points respectively.

Amisi Saidi (KIU Titans) once again contributed 25 points, but despite his remarkable individual effort, it was not enough to secure a win for the Titans.

Collins Kasujja added 12 points but the Titans, whose section of players are still demanding their monthly arrears, missed 21 of their 24 attempts from long range

With the series now at 2-0, it’s a big hole that KIU Titans found themselves into, and it will take something special to fight back.

All eyes are on Game 3, which is set to take place on Wednesday at the Lugogo arena, with Oilers just two wins away for another piece of history.
