Official: KCCA FC Unveils Brian Aheebwa

KCCA FC have confirmed Brian Aheebwa as their sixth signing for the season.

The former Mbarara City FC striker who scored eight goals last season in the league and three in Uganda Cup, was unveiled on Sunday night on Sanyuka TV.

Aheebwa joins KCCA FC on a three-year deal and he is expected to carry the scoring burden for the 13-time champions.

“We have brought him to score goals,” a delighted Mike Mutebi said.

“He is going to compete for a place but I am sure that he will start. Selecting my team from a pool of good players will give me a good headache.

“Our average age of players is around 21, they are young and still hungry to win more trophies. Our top scorer last season was Mutyaba (Mike) who I just converted into a forward, but Aheebwa is a natural striker and I am sure that he will do it.”

Aheebwa joins the Lugogo side as a free agent after his contract with the Ankole Lions expired.

He scored 39 goals, and leaves Mbarara as the leading goalscorer for the club, during his four-year stay.

His scoring heroics helped the club achieve top flight promotion in 2017.

He attended Kahunde Nursery School, Kahunde Primary School, St John Bosco Seminary (Hoima), St Kirigwajo SS and Mayanja Memorial Training Institute where he notably got a diploma in clinical medicine.

KCCA FC have also signed Italian Stefano Mazengo Loro, Charles Lwanga, Ashraf Mugume, Bright Anukani and Denis Iguma.
