Uganda Cranes: Derrick Nsibambi Joins Camp

Derrick Nsibambi becomes the first foreign based player to join the Uganda Cranes camp as the side gears up for the South Sudan double-header.

Nsibambi returns to the Cranes folder after a long absence.

His decent shift for Smouha, an Egyptian club he rejoined in Egypt this year, saw his score 3 goals and 4 assists from 17 league games as the side finished 5th with 51 points from 34 games.

Nsibambi joins the local foreign based players direct – He came with his Covid19 certificate and will train at Lugogo in a double session.

Other forwards on Cranes team of foreign based players include Emmanuel Okwi, Alexis Bakka, Fahad Bayo, Farouk Miya, William Kizito Luwagga, Uche Ikpeazu and Edirisa Lubega.

Uganda prepares to face South Sudan on November 12 at Kitende before a return leg in Kenya four days later.

The side has collected four games, a draw against Burkina Faso and a home win off Malawi.
