Uganda Cup: West Nile Region Preliminaries Postponed

West Nile Region Football Association has confirmed that the West Nile Region Uganda Cup Preliminaries that were supposed to kickoff on Saturday 4th December are postponed until further notice.

The west Nile Region draws were made last week comprising of two groups, Nile Zone and Nyagak Zone, with both groups consisting of 18 teams.

In a circular to the participating clubs and stakeholders, Moses Keuber the West nile Region Football Association General Secretary said:

“I would like to put to attention that the proposed kickoff for our regional preliminary matches of 4th December, 2021 is pushed to another date as will be communicated by the Region’s competitions committee.

“Uganda Cup is a FUFA competition therefore participants must have licenses for the season”. “Therefore are set requirements like copies of vaccination cards, club licensing forms which almost all the participating clubs have not submitted yet to enable us collect player licences.

“The licences are expected to be collected early next week, so all the clubs should submit the requirements by Monday 6th December, 2021.

“Let us act as soon as possible so as to enable us meet our planned schedules for the competition.”
