Video: Referee Suspended for Disallowing Mukwala’s Goal

The FUFA Referees Disciplinary panel has suspended referee Kaddu Ali for two weeks from officiating Uganda Premier League matches effective 1st December 2021.

However he is allowed to officiate matches in other Uganda Football leagues meaning Kaddu can still be in charge Fufa Big League, Regional league and Uganda Cup Preliminary rounds.

The referee was suspended for disallowing a legit goal scored by Steven Mukwala for URA in a 6-1 win over Tooro United when the striker scored 4 times.

Kaddu Ali responded and stated that the goal was disallowed because URA FC player who scored intimidated the Tooro United FC defender who left the ball to the scorer.

However, the panel rejected the explanation from the referee and established that there was no protest from the opposing players of Tooro United.

According to the panel, it was established that the centre referee disallowed a genuine goal scored by the URA FC player Steven Mukwala in the startimes Uganda Premier League game against Tooro United.

After reviewing the video, the panel found that the referee was poorly positioned and did not use the services of the assistant referee.
