URA FC Confirms Baker Mbowa’s Departure

Uganda Premier League side URA FC have confirmed parting ways with Assistant coach Baker Mbowa.

Mbowa, former head coach at Bright Stars and Proline, joined the Tax Collectors in April last year as the assistant to Sam Timbe.

But his impact has not been felt with the Club languishing in the lower echelons of the table.

“We wish to announce that Baker Mbowa has been relieved off his duties as assistant coach at URA FC with immediate effect,” reads a statement from the club.

URA who have just two wins in 14 games, are 11th with 14 points.

But Timbe has been retained as the head coach, with the club saying that they will be announcing his assistant in the due course.
