Isaac Doka Mweru’s goal just before halftime secured Busoga’s second league win and their second goal.

Meanwhile, Gaddafi suffered their third consecutive home defeat at the Gaddafi Arena this season.

Despite the relentless pressure from the hosts, it was in the added minutes of the first half when Busoga capitalized on a two-against-one situation.

Bashamu outplayed Franco Magero to set up Doka for a precise finish in the far-left corner, giving the visitors a much-needed lead.

The soldier boys applied immense pressure in the opening minutes, coming close to what could have been the quickest goal of the season.

Baker Buyala narrowly missed an opportunity when his shot, set up by Mpata, hit the woodwork.

The intense game saw three Busoga players (Charles Mulanda, Bashamu, and Isaac Isinde) booked in the first 15 minutes. They finished the match with at least 10 men.

The main highlight then arrived, Mulanda received a red card in the final minutes of the game for a second bookable offense.

This came after an argument with the referee following a free-kick decision at the edge of the box.

As early as seven minutes into the game, Mulanda had already been booked for fouling his former teammate Rashidi Mpata.

The hosts had another opportunity for an opener, but Kenneth Elvis Kibaale made a crucial goal-line header clearance to deny Joshua Kaka a free header.

Before their goal, Busoga had a significant chance, with Bashamu Mugwa’s powerful half-volley being parried out by Ssekandi into a corner kick.

After the halftime restart, Busoga had chances to double their lead. However, Ssentambule’s picked-up loose ball and Moses Logono’s effort were denied by Ssekandi.

In the dying moments of the game, substitute Amos came close to securing a point for the hosts with a beautiful turn, but his attempt was blocked by Michael before blocking a free kick that caused problems for his captain.

Gaddafi remained at 3 points, holding the 11th position in the league. They will travel to Kampala to face NEC in their next fixture. Meanwhile, Busoga climbed to 8th place with 7 points and will host UPDF at Njeru.
