Busoga United handed Abdallah Mubiru a difficult start at KCCA with a 2-1 defeat in a league game held at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Initially trailing to Dominic Ayella’s goal for KCCA, Busoga United staged an impressive comeback with Ronald Kasamba and Emmanuel Ajo securing a hard-fought victory.

The match, delayed by heavy rainfall, saw 40-minute halves, with the second half played under dimming floodlights.

Ayella was granted ample time and space to take control before executing a precise curling shot into the net, granting KCCA the advantage.

Busoga United countered through Kasamba, who swiftly turned after receiving Ibrahim Kayiwa’s header, firing the ball into the roof of the net.

Later in the second half, Ajo secured the winning goal by outpacing KCCA’s defense, capitalizing on a clearance from his teammate Isaac Isinde, and slotting the ball past goalkeeper Derrick Ochan.

Playing his first game as KCCA coach, it wasn’t an ideal start for Abdallah Mubiru, but there was little he could do on the day he missed about five starters including Julius Poloto, Filbert Obenchan, Shaban Muhammad among others.

The defeat compounds KCCA’s struggles, placing them second from the bottom with only four points after eight games, whereas Busoga United’s third win lifted them to ninth with 10 points.

Looking ahead, Busoga United will visit SC Villa at Wankulukuku on December 3, while KCCA is set to host Gaddafi at Lugogo on December 1.
