Big League Playoffs: Kyetume Shootout Doves To Reach Finals

Kyetume FC needed penalty shootouts to oust Dove FC to storm the Big League playoffs final.

The Masindi based Dove FC came from a goal down twice to draw 2-2 but were thrice unlucky in the penalty shootouts.

Steven Sande, Owen Kasule and Vincent Kayizzi scored from 12 yards for the Mukono based side to claim a 3-2 penalty win.

Kyetume FC, who had head coach Jackson Mayanja sent to the stands, are now a win away from attaining top flight status.

Kyetume who boss with experienced lads like Vincent Kayizzi, Patrick Ochan, Ema Kalyowa, Owen Kasule and Robert Ssentongo, finished second in Elgon group with 38 points.

Ronald Kyamunywa and goalkeeper Hussein Ndugwa (penalty) scored as Dove FC came from down twice.

Wahab Lwanga scored in his own net, off a teasing low delivery from Kayizi after a beautiful one two with Ssentongo to give Kyetume the opener.

Mumbere Ali Ngongo came off the bench to head in from Denis Lubowa’s lofty delivery.
