URA FC: We shall keep Improving – Simeon Masaba

URA FC assistant coach Simoen Masaba is optimistic that his side will keep getting better in more league games to come.

He made the remarks after his side’s 6-1 win against Tooro United in a league game held at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje on Tuesday.

It was a Steven Mukwala show as the forward grabbed four on the day while Joachim Ojera and Cromwel Rwothomio also got on the scoresheet.

Speaking after the game, Masaba who stepped in for head coach Sam Timbe is optimistic they will keep improving despite a mixed start.

“We have been struggling to play good football but today it has shown us that we can score goals,” Masaba said on Wednesday.

“It’s not been the best performance because we are still lacking in some aspects but we can keep on improving.”

In the previous two league games, the Tax Collectors surrendered a two-goal lead twice as they lost 3-2 to Arua Hill before drawing 2-2 with BUL FC at home in Ndejje.

About the matter, Masaba says his side has always been reluctant after scoring first. “We have bee reluctant in that whenever we score, we thought the job was done , but when you concede the first one, the opponent can even go ahead and win the game.”

“But today, we have scored more goals but bad thing we conceded but we shall work on that.”

Up next for URA will be a trip to St. Marys Stadium in Kitende on Saturday as they take on Vipers SC.

Ahead of the game, Masaba says the win against Tooro United is a big motivation and they will all go out for maximum points at Kitende.

“This motivates us as we go into our next game against Vipers. Yes it won’t be an easy game since we are away from home. But we don’t fear them, we respect them but we have played more games with them and we expect maximum points.”

Victory saw URA FC move to the 9th place with Seven points after four games played (W2, D1, L1).

With more games fast approaching, Simoen Masaba will be hoping that his side keeps up the winning momentum as they keep eyes on the big prize this season.
