Simba SC: Tanzania Giants Appoint New Coach

 

Simba SC have confirmed hiring Serbian tactician Zoran Manojlovic as their new head coach.

Details of Zoran’s contract are yet to be communicated by the club.

Zoran who turns 60 next month, replaces Pablo Franco Martin who was sacked at the start of this month.

Franco who was appointed last November, helped Simba win Mapinduzi Cup and reach the quarter final stage of the Confederation Cup 2021/2022 before they lost to Orlando Pirates.

Zoran’s next assignment will be to build a squad that will challenge for the league title next season.

Simba lost this season’s League title to Yanga who were crowned last weekend.

They will conclude their campaign on Wednesday away to Mbeya City.

Zoran joins Simba after ending his spell with Al-Tai in Saudi Arabia.

He won the Algerian League title with CR Belouizdad last year and has had stints with Primeiro Augusto (Angola), Wydad (Morocco) and Al-Hilal (Sudan).
