Lugazi aims to narrow the gap at the top as they host struggling Jinja North in the FUFA Big League clash on Friday.

Trailing league leaders Police by five points, Lugazi is eyeing a victory to reduce the deficit to two, staying on course for their promotional bid.

With an impressive second position, securing 25 points from 12 games, Lugazi remains confident in clinching one of the top three promotional slots this season.

And they will be hoping to returning to winning ways having drawn with Kaaro Karungi in their previous game.

Conversely, Jinja North, once expected for top-flight promotion, faces a more likely relegation battle after a turbulent season.

Currently with 11 points, Jinja North sits third from the bottom, just above Young Elephant and Ndejje University.

It has proved a difficult campaign for Jinja North who have already parted ways with head coach Sadiq Sempigi.

Despite a recent 2-0 win against Ndejje, Jinja North faces a formidable challenge against Lugazi, a team that has suffered only one loss this season.
