Living Kabon struck directly from a corner kick in the 97th minute, securing a thrilling 2-1 victory for Kitara against Express FC at Wankulukuku.

Isaac Wagoina’s penalty had canceled out Denis Omedi’s initial goal for Kitara, with both goals occurring in the first half.

Despite Kitara’s relentless attacks in the second half, they struggled to find the net until Kabon’s decisive moment in injury time.

Express FC defended valiantly throughout, but Kabon’s perfectly placed corner that eluded the defenders and goalkeeper Abdul Kimera, proved to be the game-changer.

While Kitara fans erupted in wild celebrations, Express FC contested the goal, alleging a foul in the build-up to the corner.

The victory marks Kitara’s return to winning form after their previous loss to Vipers, propelling them back to the top of the league with 47 points, just ahead of Vipers and BUL.

Omedi scored the opener after collecting from Frank Zaga Tumwesigye off a well orchestrated counter attack in the 10th minute.

But Express levelled seven minutes later through Wagoina’s penalty who was brought down by Paddy Muhumuza.

Kitara completes a double over Express having won 1-0 in Masindi.
