Dmark Power narrowly missed out on securing an impressive double over Nam Blazers following a 68-70 defeat on Friday.

Despite their earlier victory in the first round, Power came into Friday’s clash a revamped side after new additions Taariq Powell, Clinton Omondi, and Kevin Ogunjimi.

Despite Blazers’ commanding 14-point lead during parts of the game, Power staged a formidable comeback in the final quarter, closing the gap to just one point with seconds remaining.

A potential game-winning three-pointer from Taariq Powell narrowly missed as the buzzer sounded.

Leading Power’s scoring efforts were Samad Imran (17 points), Elvis Ssentongo (12 points), and Isaac Afidra (11 points).

On the Blazers’ side, Joseph Chuma recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Chuol Nyuot and Innocent Ochera contributed 17 and 12 points, respectively.

This marks Power’s second consecutive loss in the second round, while Nam Blazers have now secured 10 wins overall.
