*Butiko 3-2 Mmamba
Butiko clan secured a 3-2 victory over Mmamba Namakaka in the Bika Bya-Baganda opener at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
Goals from Edrine Kagende, Stephen Namuwanda, and Richard Wandyaka marked Butiko’s strong start in this year’s tournament.
However, John Wesley Kisakye’s second-half penalty for Mmamba Namakaka was only a consolation.
The date for their second leg encounter is yet to be announced.
In addition to their football loss, Mmamba Namakaka also faced defeat in the Netball finals, losing 21-18 to Nnyonyi Nyange.
Nyonyi Nyange claimed the Bika Bya-Baganda Netball title, receiving 7 million Ugandan Shillings, while Mmamba Namakaka took home 5 million Ugandan Shillings.
