Tembo Scores Another Game High In KIU Titans Victory

Kasereka Tembo drilled in 21 points and KIU Titans blew out Livingstone 88-48 in a National Basketball League game played on Sunday at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Tembo who came off the bench, had his game high off a 7-for-14 shooting, including four threes before adding three rebounds and six assists.

It’s back to back 20+ points game for the Congolese guard who scored 25 points last Sunday against Our Saviour.

Against Livingstone, Edgar Munaaba and Mpiya Juf added 14 points each, Ahmed Kassa and Peter Obleng added 13 and 10 points respectively in a dominant show.

Joel Lukoji filled the stat sheet with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists while Munaaba added 10 rebounds for his double double.

For Livingstone, Bismarck Okot and Bruce Okullo scored 13 and 10 points each, the only two players to reach double digits for the side.

KIU Titans led 29-11 after the first quarter, a lead they never relinquished before winning by 40 points.

They dominated the boards, out-rebounding the side 49-35, as their side missed all seven attempts from three.

This, is win number 11 for KIU Titans in 14 games, their third victory in as many games in the second round.

It’s the 10th defeat for Livingstone who will seek to avoid an immediate return to the Lower Division.
