Express FC will target a perfect start when they visit BUL FC in a Uganda Premier League game at Njeru Technical centre.

This was the first fixture for Coach George Ssemwogerere on his second stint at the club – BUL FC won 1-0 at Njeru on Sunday, February 10 2019 with Muhindo Kambala striking late.

Express FC went on to finish 10th with 40 points, three points and as many places below Peter Onen’s BUL.

The Red Eagles, through Brian Umony’s strike, managed to revenge on BUL in Uganda Cup at Wankulukuku before they had their journey cut short by beaten finalists Bright Stars.

Consequently,Express has unveiled 21 new signings and will be hoping for the best from the new guard.

Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga and Idris Kaye have been ruled out because of muscle and ligament pain respectively.

Veteran forward Frank Kalanda is expected to lead the line, a crop of players from last season like Disan Galiwango, Ivan Ocholit and Lawrence Kigonya are expected to play a big role.

However, Ssemwogerere’s selection has already been dealt with a big blow as some of the players have failed to acquire playing licences in time.

New Red Eagle Daniel Shabena if he plays, will be facing his former bosses in Njeru after the midfielder left BUL for the six time winners.
