Masaza: Ssingo Seek To Overturn Kyadondo’s Slim Lead

Masaza cup defending champions Ssingo are set to host Kyadondo at Mityana Ssaza groud in the quarter finals second leg.

Kyadondo hold a slim 2-1 lead and it’s now Ssingo’s turn to capitalise on their home advantage.

In the game which was played at Mwererwe, Kyadondo scored through Emmanuel Mwesigwa and Bayega Patrick in the first stanza of the game before Ssingo got an away goal through Ssegonja Ponsiano.

Despite Ssingo having an away goal and playing host, Kyadondo Coach Charles Ayeiko believes the game is still a 50-50 stuation.

“They are a good team too so anything can still happen. Its still a 50-50 game, we all have equal chances for to progress,” said Ayiekho.

Ssingo tactitian Felix Ssekabuza said that this is the most impontant game of this year’s tournament before stressing that his side must qualify as they possess the higher chances.

Kyadondo will need at least a draw to reach the semis, and will depend highly on Mwesigwa Emmanuel who was at Ssingo to finish the task.

Mwesigwa played and scored some goals for Ssingo in friendlies during the tournament’s preperations but latter Ssingo decided not to sign him and he signed for Kyadondo just few days to close transfer window.

Mwesigwa has scored five goals in this years tournament including the one in quater final first leg against Ssingo last weekend.

Ssingo who needs a 1-0 win to qualify, will depend on players like Musasizi John, Badru Jibril Nsimbe for the needed win.

Ssingo will miss young goalie Arafat Otim who was sentoff in the first leg and Were Derrick is there to take back his place.
