Frank Ssenyondo Dedicates Goal Against Onduparaka To Sacked Sim

Express FC forward Frank Ssenyondo dedicated his winning goal against Onduparaka FC in honour of sacked coach George Ssimwogerere.

The little forward was on target as ten-man Express FC stunned Onduparaka FC 1-0 at Greenlight Stadium, Arua.

He received a neat low pass from Daniel Shabena before firing low past Yusuf Wasswa.

Ssenyondo ran wildly towards the corner flag, with emotions taking over and in tears of joy, he covered his face with his shirt to mark one of his biggest moment since joining Express.

The scorer joined Express FC under the guidance of Ssimwogerere who picked him from the dusts of Terranova academy, Buziga.

“I dedicate this goal to my elder George Ssimwogerere,” emotional Ssenyondo told Sanyuka TV’s Martin Kaddu. “I always felt that I was going to score any time because it’s what I do. It’s a big win for us and also thank my fellow players and our new coach Wasswa Bbosa.”

This was Ssenyondo’s sixth goal of the 2019/20 season. He sits joint second in Express’ scoring charts. Frank Kalanda has seven while Captain Dissan Galiwango has six.

The win sent Express to 24 points and will welcome Maroons (Uganda Cup) and Maroons at Kavumba in their next games.
