Mbarara City Confirm Two New Signings

Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City FC have confirmed two additions ahead of the forthcoming 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season.

The Ankole Lions have agreed deals for Ronald Edwok and Godfrey Kalungi, the club has announced.

Edwok and Kalungi join on three-year deals from FUFA Big League side Light SS.

The duo become Mbarara City FC’s signings in the ongoing transfer window.

Earlier, coach Brian Ssenyondo said that Mbarara City will not be making marquee signings but bring young players from lower division instead and turn them into stars.

The club has also confirmed the return of Farouk Samali from HomeBoyz after his loan spell.

Mbarara has already lost Ibrahim Orit who joined Vipers while Brian Aheebwa is expected to join the exodus.

Stephen Kabuye and Bashir Muweesi were released recently.

The club extended contracts for Swalik Bebe Ssegujja, Bamba Souleymane, Jude Ssemugabi and Pistis Barenge.
