Defender Elvis Bwomono jetted in as coach Jonathan McKinstry nears full camp for Uganda Cranes.
There are 13 foreign-based players in camp currently as Uganda prepares to face South Sudan this Thursday in AFCON Qualifiers at St Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
Captain Denis Onyango, Allan Okello and Timothy Awany are some of the other players in camp.
Bwomono who plies his trade with English side Southend United, will be eying his debut for Cranes.
Born in Uganda, the defender left the country at the age of three years where he attended Hatch End High School before joining QPR as a youth.
He moved to Southend United at 14 and signed his first professional contract in October 2017.
Bwomono will be fighting with Nicholas Wadada (Azam) for a starting place at right back position after Motherwell defender Bevis Mugabi pulled out due to injury.
Alex Kakuba and Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru are the other players who will miss the encounter.
Yet to arrive include Edirisa Lubega, Kizito Luwagga, Alexis Bakka, Ronald Mukiibi and Joseph Ochaya.
The team will continue training at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende at 4pm.
