KCCA FC will seek to take a commanding first leg advantage when they play host to Nyamityobora FC in the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

However, they have to achieve their targets without a couple of missing players.

The club has confirmed that Brian Aheebwa, Juma Balinya, Musa Ramathan and John Revita are still ruled out due to injuries.

Youngsters Dominic Ayella and Joseph Kafumbe have school engagements.

KCCA are expected to include Sam Ssenyonjo in the matchday squad.

This will be the second game for Morley Byekwaso as head coach of KCCA FC since replacing Mike Mutebi. He beat BUL FC 3-0 in the league.

The game against Nyamityobora will be the first meeting between the sides in Uganda Cup, but the third in UPL.

Mike Mutyaba scored a brace, Timothy Awany, Patrick Kaddu, Allan Okello and Jackson Nunda added a goal each as KCCA beat Nyamityobora 6-1 in November 2018 at Lugogo in the league.

The reverse fixture saw KCCA win 2-0 thanks to a Patrick Kaddu brace at Kakyeka where the victors finished the game a man less after Nicholas Kasozi was sent off for a second yellow in May 2019.

KCCA won their record equaling 10th Uganda Cup title in 2018, but were eliminated by Tooro United the following season in shootouts at the round of 32.

Last season, the tourney was declared null and void due to Covid19 but KCCA had beaten Calvary and Dove FC.

Nyamityobora on the other hand, have been eliminated by URA, Proline and BUL FC in the past three seasons of Uganda Cup.

In FUFA Big League this season, they have five points from a possible nine in opening three games.

They put four past Tooro United after two draws against Luwero United and Nyamityobora FC.

KCCA FC will bank on two forwards Sadat Anaku and Charles Lwanga while Clinton Kamugisha and Gerrard Kimuli who have scored two goals each this season will carry Nyamityobora’s scoring burden.
