Preview: Brian Ssenyondo Faces Former Pay Masters

This game was meant to be played on Tuesday 26th October but was postponed due to heavy rains at Bombo.

Brian Senyondo will face his former team as his side UPDF host the Ankole Lions.

Ssenyondo is still revered by the Ankole Lions fans and management alike having been in Mbarara for two spells. His last spell however ended in disarray after the tactician opted for National duty (Uganda Kobs) and he was then relieved of his club duties.

He has got off to a mixed start at UPDF, picking five points in the opening four games. A point away in Onduparaka and Gadaffi FC and home win against defending champions Express While losing away to URA.

They will however have to get things rights having squandered a two-goal lead to draw with Gaddafi FC.

For the visitors, they have won two (Bright Stars and Arua Hill) and lost as many (Tooro United and BUL FC).

And it is imporant to note that both Mbarara City’s losses have come away from Kakyeka.

Both sides will be eyeing maximum points but the hosts will fancy their chances at home.

Brian Kalumba and Brian Kayanja were on target for UPDF the last time these two met at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground as the Army side ran away 2-0 winners.
