FUFA: Salim Jamal’s Comments Were Abusive, Insulting

Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Jamal is set to appear in FUFA’s disciplinary committee on Monday.

The developments follows the recent comments by Jamal who was responding MP Odonga Otto’s allegations about the Cranes’ allowances.

Arua North member of parliament Odonga Otto came out on his Twitter handle and mentioned cranes players including Jamal to save their image as he claimed the government had paid all cranes expenses with bonuses.

“The alleged comments which are well within your knowledge were improper, abusive and Insulting or brought the game of football into disrepute contrary to the FUFA rules and communication code,” reads an excerpt from FUFA’s disciplinary committee.

“These allegations amount to misconduct and puts the game of football in disrepute. You are therefore summoned to appear before the FUFA Disciplinary panel in person with your written response at FUFA house boardroom.”
