*Burundi Vs Uganda – 4PM

Uganda will be targeting a positive result when they face hosts Burundi in the first leg of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers in a game that will be played at the Intwari stadium in Bujumbura.

Uganda eliminated Somalia and will seeking to reach CHAN finals tourney for a fifth straight year, this time at the expense of Burundi who ousted South Sudan.

Coach Abdallah will seek to assemble a strong lineup in a bid to register a needed result.

“Players are ready to give in their best so that they get the results we want to get, an advantage before we engage our opponents in the return leg in Kampala next month,” said Coach Abdallah.

“We are ready and committed to giving a good performance that will earn us respect.”

Probable Lineup

Charles Lukwago is expected to start ahead of URA’s James Alitho in the goal posts. Alitho was a late inclusion after replacing SC Villa’s Saidi Keni and will settle for a place on the bench. Lukwago has proved his worth, especially at KCCA, and is the best keeper locally in the pecking order.

Vipers’ Halid Lwaliwa and KCCA’s John Revita will pair up in the centre back while Paul Willa will start at right back position with Mustafa Kizza at the other opposite end.

Nicholas Kasozi will be expected to anchor the midfield with URA’s Shafiq Kagimu who has been the most convincing player in recent Cranes’ training.

Wakiso’s Viane Ssekajugo will start at the left flank with Muzamir Mutyaba completing a creative midfield package.

Youngster Allan Okello is expected to start and he will be playing behind Vipers’ hard working target man Fahad Bayo.
