Bamweyana Accuses Proline Of Playing Negative Football

Maroons Coach Dauglas Bamweyana has blamed Proline’s negative football for his side’s 2-1 loss in the league at Luzira on Friday.

Hamis kizza scored a brace to give Proline victory while Steven Mukwala scored host’s only goal.

Maroon’s tactician Bamweyana, said that his side lost because their opponent Proline FC displayed a negative style of play with poor tactics. However he admitted that his side was not not sharp enough and looked rusty.

“Our opponents played a lot of negative football, especially in the second half,” Bamweyana said.

“They were just looking for fouls to fall, falling every where every time to be bedridden all the time which was unfortunate because it clearly tells you that they had no any belief in themselves.

“Having gone up they would still have believed in themselves but its surprising that even when they took the lead they couldn’t feel the match.”

Bamweyana, former coach of Express FC and SC Villa, added:

“They were poor tactically, everyone was falling down everywhere even without any a foul which is barely lack of tactics and for them they fouled us instead, kicking us every time, every where and that’s why they got a red card which justify what am talking about.”

“However, am very disappointed in the manner which we conceded goals it was so cheap, we have been just giving balls away yet we had an opponent which respected us but lacked sharpness and we have been rusty, a thing which usually happens in opening matches like this.

This gives us alot of work to do, especially how to control the game better.”

A loss, sent Maroons in 10th position from 9th with only 19 points from 16 games now.

And before the month ends, they will make a trip to Arua to face Onduparaka, then host BUL FC before visiting Bright Stars FC.
