Women U17 World Cup: Captain Nalukenge Express Readiness

Uganda U17 captain Juliet Nalukenge has vowed to lead the team past Tanzania as the sides face off at Startimes stadium on Saturday in the FIFA U17 women world cup qualifiers.

A win of 1-0 will see the Ayub Khalifah coached team make it to the next hurdle as Uganda look to reach the next round.

“As players we are ready for tomorrows game against Tanzania , we need victory and this can be attained if we score more goals” Nalukenge speaking to the press in a pre-match press conference after the teams training session at Lugogo

“We don’t need Tanzania to score us because we are at home with an away goal that is very important to us , we need to score at least two goals and above ” Nalukenge added

Midfielder Shamilah Nalujja will be a huge boost for Ayub’s side that will be without Shakirah Nyinagahirwa who accumulated a number of yellow cards that rule her out.

Without a win in the last meetings against Tanzania, head coach Ayub Khalifah believes his side has got all it takes to go past the kirimanjoro girls
