Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is the only African Footballer on Forbes annual rankings of the “World’s 100 Highest-Paid Athletes” of the year 2020.

Salah ranks 34th overall among all sportsmen and he is ranked fourth among footballers behind Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

The list takes into account prize money, salaries, bonuses, endorsements, royalties and appearance fees from June 1, 2019 and June 1, 2020.

Forbes’ report revealed that the Egyptian’s earnings consist of his $23.1m salary and $12m that he takes in via endorsements.

Tennis’ Roger Federer (Switzerland) tops the overall list.
