Lawrence Juma: Gor Mahia Midfielder Joins Sofapaka

Sofapaka have confirmed signing Harambee Stars midfielder Lawrence Juma on a two-year deal.

Juma joins the Batoto Ba Mungu from 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

He is the latest player to leave Gor, a list that includes Joash Onyango who joined Tanzania’s Simba SC.

“I am pleased to be here, this is a new chapter,” Juma is quoted by Sofapaka.

“Am looking forward to a good time with the club, I cannot wait to get started.”

He was part of Harambee Stars that played in CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in Kampala last year, and a former player for Nzoia Sugar and Nakuru All Stars.

Sofapaka, recently, unveiled Roy Okal, Michael Kibwang and Kevin Omondi etc as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.

They open the season with a home game against KCB and will be hoping for a perfect start after finishing 10th with 31 points when the league was prematurely ended due to Covid19 pandemic.

The club, formed in 2004, won the Kenya Premier League in 2009.
