MYDA Vs Police: Two Positive Covid19 Cases For Hosts

MYDA FC will be without two players who have tested positive for Covid19 ahead of the Police game on Tuesday.

MYDA FC assistant coach Erisa Madanda confirmed the news but didn’t reveal who the players are.

He however stated that the two victims are in self isolation.

“Our players were tested and on a sad note two of our players tested positive,” he stated.

“We are however not so much worried because we have enough players in our camp.”

Newcomers MYDA will seek to get their UPL debut off to a good start when they face Police on Matchday, having had their opener against Vipers postponed.

“We have not registered any injury, the mood in camp is good and we are ready for the game,” Madanda added.

Police FC right back Denis Rukundo

Police FC on the other hand, will be playing their second game after a goalless draw with Wakiso Giants at Lugogo.

The Peace keepers will be without key midfielder Tony Mawejje who was stretchered off on Match-day one.

Police FC defender Denis Rukundo is positive ahead of the encounter: “We are ready and looking forward, we have reached safely, we hope to give our best because we know the importance of three points.

“Its high time we start winning games. We have a big dream to chase this season and a win will put our dream right on track.”

This will be the first league meeting between Police and MYDA in top flight.
