Afrobasket: Silverbacks Preparations For Second Window Delays

Silverbacks Preparations for the second window of the 2021 FIBA Afrobasket Qualifiers have been postponed.

The team was scheduled to start training on Tuesday, December 15 at MTN Indoor Arena but the plans have since hit a dead end.

“We are not cleared yet to use the indoor facilities untill all sops are in place,” Coach Mande Juruni told The-SportsNation.

“We are working as a team to make sure Sops are in place, but we will soon get started.”

The major hurdle is to get the players tested for Covid19 before they start training.

This, is one of the requirements that was put in place when Sports Resumption was given a greenlight amidst Covid19.

The Silverbacks squad of local players was summoned recently and is supposed to train for some weeks before joined by foreign based players.
