KIU Titans Land Power Forward Stanley Mugerwa

KIU Titans have signed Power forward Stanley Mugerwa from Warriors on a two year employment contract.

The Kasanga based side has been one of the most active sides post Covid-19 as they have beefed up their roster, literally.

And Mugerwa is yet the other high profile player in the arrivals lounge of the Titans with Denis Balungu, Oscar Muge and Samuel Agutu the other high profile recruits.

Muge and Agutu re-joined to the side from JKL Dolphins and Power respectively.

“I am happy to join Titans.” Mugerwa said upon unveiling.

“The team has ambitions and I felt l could make my contribution.” The Power forward stated.

He comes with loads of experience having played for the national team at the 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifiers and the first leg of the AfroBasket 2021 qualifiers.

With Coach Brian Wathum opting to stay put, KIU Titans have surely assembled a squad that is strong enough to compete for this season’s league crown.

The strength – or lack of it in the Titans squad will fall under the microscope when the side host New league entrants Nam Blazers and record seven time holders City Oilers in pre-season Friendlies.

The games will be played during the Easter festivies at KIU Titans base in Kasanga.

They will play Nam Blazers on Good Friday before the City Oilers showdown on Easter Monday.

The 2021 NBL season will get underway on 17th April 2021 with KIU Titans taking on Power at Kasanga.
