•Bright Stars 1-1 Police FC

Viane Ssekajugo bagged four against his former team as URA FC put four past Wakiso Giants in a league game at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Wakiso Giants finished the game a man down after George Kaddu received his second booking before substitute Kabon Living put the icing on the cake.

The win, is the first for URA FC against Wakiso Giants.

The pint-sized forward did not celebrate when he scored the opener in the second minute of the game but he continued his ruthlessness on a wet evening.

He showed striker’s instincts to race through after Steven Mukwala brushed forward before slotting past Samson Kirya for the first goal.

His second, coming after flurry of attacks from Wakiso Giants, arrived in the 42nd minute when he controlled a powerful shot from Shafic Kagimu before bundling in from close range.

He completed his hat-trick at the hour mark when he robbed Kaddu who was careless with possession.

And he later got the fourth, a header off Saidi Kyeyune corner before he was later taken off amidst loud cheers from the visiting fans.

Kabon was another beneficiary of Wakiso Giants’ sluggish defending when he picked Moses Aliro’s pockets to fire in the fifth in the closing stages.

Coach Alex Gitta will feel his side could have done better but he was undone by the injury suffered by Hassan Wasswa Dazo early into the game, a big blow given the fact that the club also missed Simon Namwanja on the left side of defence through injury.

Wakiso Giants had some promising spells after they went down by an early goal but failed to get past Alionzi Nafian who made some tremendous saves.

Alionzi was outstanding to absorb pressure from Kaddu’s long troubling throw-ins, kept out an effort from Aliro and a wonderful freekick from Joshua Lubwama who came off the bench as a make-shift centre back.

Sam Ssenyonjo wasted a glorious chance when he left Ashraf Mandela crawling only for his effort to fly over and wide, but by then, the scoreline was already beyond repair.

The Visitors on the other hand missed a couple, and both Mukwala and Ssekajugo could have been awarded a penalty each when they were brought down in the area.

Ssekajugo also had some efforts, especially in the first half, denied by Kirya but it was an evening to remember for the striker who sent his tally to seven on return to Wakissha.

URA FC remain third with 34 points while Wakiso Giants dropped to seventh with 27 points.
