JKL Dolphins stunned Power to claim a 62-56 victory in a National Basketball League game at Lugogo.

JKL quickly started with a 10-2 run before taking a 22-14 lead after the first quarter.

And they proved to have all the answers every time Power pulled within reach in a game Henry Malinga’s charges led by 15 points at one stage.

Maluel Dier shot 10-for-17 to reach his game high 23 points while Mabor Makol contributed 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists in a hard fought win.

Power’s Guddi ‘Kikiri’Nasser

Only Innocent Ochera who finished with 18 points, scored in double digits for Power.

Geoffrey Soro had another quiet evening after shooting 1-for-11 as Power struggled to find grip on the game many expected them to win.

JKL Dolphins managed just three points from the bench, and were out-rebounded 44-56, but just did enough to down Power.

It’s the fifth loss for Power who were earlier beaten by Nam Blazers, UCU Canons (2) and City Oilers.

The win, on the back of a 62-47 victory over Our Saviour on Saturday, is the seventh for JKL Dolphins this season.
