Uganda Premier League side SC Villa and head coach Jackson Magera have parted ways.

It’s a shocking move from SC Villa off the back of a greatly improved season where they almost won the League title.

He helped the side finish third, and the side could have finished as Champions if it wasn’t for last day defeat against URA FC.

Magera joined the Jogoos in 2021 – after a spell at KCCA – as an assistant coach for Greek Petros Koukouras.

He guided Uganda U15 team to CECAFA U15 championship with a 4-0 win over Kenya in the 2019 final.

The former Idudi FC and Wandegeya Old Tymers player has had spells as an assistant coach at Uganda U17 (Kobs) as well.
