Uganda’s U20 Women’s National Football Team, under the guidance of coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi, has called up a provisional squad of 28 players in preparation for the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier matches against Senegal.

The Queen Cranes will commence their residential training camp this Sunday.

Captain Hadijah Nandago and assistant captain Phiona Nabulime will be absent due to their Senior six examinations.

Uganda is scheduled to compete against Senegal in Dakar on the 10th of November 2023, with a return match a week later at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

It’s worth noting that the Queen Cranes advanced to this stage by eliminating Mozambique with an impressive 8-0 aggregate score.

Furthermore, it’s important to highlight that another round will follow the second round to determine the four African teams that will qualify for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia next year.
