Lugazi is set on securing maximum points in their upcoming FUFA Big League match against Kigezi Homeboyz.

The club currently holds the second position on the table with 21 points, just two behind leaders Police FC.

Following a fifth-place finish in their debut Big League season, narrowly missing out on promotion slots, their focus this season is firmly fixed on achieving top-flight promotion.

The season has been impressive so far, and the recent appointment of Richard Makumbi as the new head coach signifies a positive step forward.

Makumbi has a successful track record, having steered various clubs, including SCOUL Iganga Town Council, Mukono Lions, Buikwe Red Stars, Fire Masters, Bunamwaya (now Vipers), Bidco (BUL), ITODA, SOANA, Mbarara City, and Kitara, to the Uganda Premier League.

Their latest match resulted in a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Kataka, and they have suffered only one loss this season, against Mbale Heroes.

However, Kigezi Homeboyz, unbeaten in their last three matches (with 2 wins and 1 draw), present a challenge, potentially making the upcoming encounter a tricky one for Lugazi.
