Nam Blazers Target Power Revenge

Friday, April 26
*JT Lady Jaguars Vs KIU Rangers – 7pm
*Dmark Power Vs Nam Blazers – 9pm

Nam Blazers will be seeking revenge against Dmark Power when the two sides face off at Lugogo.

Power, on March 22, handed Nam Blazers a shocking 57-63 defeat in their first round encounter.

Then, the Blazers lacked contribution from their key players starting with Michael Makiadi and Joseph Chuma managing 3 and 5 points respectively.

Power then managed to out-rebound the Blazers 54-49 in a game Stephen Nyeko’s side shot 8-for-31 from deep.

Namuwongo looked unconvincing in their second round opener against Livingstone on Wednesday which they won 75-64, and will need a better showing if they are to overcome Power.

They added Arthur Wanyoto while Big Man Diopa Duropa Lukosa will be expected to get his debut after joining from Livingstone.

Diopa who started all Livingstone’s 11 first round games, averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Power on the other hand, have added two key players Taariq Powell from the United Kingdom and Clinton Omondi from Kenya, who contributed seven and 10 points respectively in their second round opening defeat against JKL.

Against JKL Dolphins, a game they lost 46-72, they were without Philip Ameny who had returned to Kenya.

But the big man is back and will be key for the struggling side.

Guard Kevin Ogunjimi has also returned to the Country, but it remains to be seen if he will get his second round debut on Friday.
