UPDF FC Completes Triple Signing

Uganda Premier League newcomers UPDF FC have completed the acquisition of three players as they strengthen their squad for the upcoming 2020/21 season.

The Bombo-based army side have sealed deals for Isa Mubiru, Dickens Okwir and Sam Kintu.

Mubiru joins from Tooro United, Okwir was released by Champions Vipers while former Proline player Kintu joins as a free agent as well.

The trio have joined on a two-year contract each, The-SportsNation sources have learnt.

The Club also held talks with Charles Ssebutinde and a deal might have been agreed as well.

The trio join other new signings like Simon Mbazira, Ronnie Kisekja, Ibrahim Wammanah, James Begisa, Tony Kyamera, Gadaffi Gadinho and others.

UPDF is also in negotiations with Jungu Methodius and a highly related Academy graduate Vuni Bright Joseph.

The club released over ten players last week including striker Abdul Karim Kasule.

Coached by new gaffer Kefa Kisala, UPDF FC will seek to retain their Premier League status when the 2020/21 season concludes.
