Police will be without Goalkeeper Abdul Kimera due to injury.

Defenders Hassan Mahmood and Eddy Kapampa are also ruled out for due to injuries.

The Cops are boosted with the return of Joseph Ssentume from Suspension while Emmanuel Mugume and Sammy Sebadduka are also back from injury.

For Onduparaka, John Rogers is ruled out due to yellow card accumulation.

Jimmy Ndalambi is also out due to school engagements while Rashid Okocha is still suspended and Agau Rashid is ruled out due to injury.

Preview: Police FC seek to revenge against Onduparaka

Police FC will be hoping for vengeance as they host Onduparaka at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Friday.

In the reverse fixture, Onduparaka beat Police by 1-0 at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium, thanks to Emmanuel Oketch’s late strike in added time. Making matters worse for the Cops, their midfielder Yusuf Ssozi was sent off and as well as head Coach Abdallah Mubiru.

And now as they host them on Friday, it will be time for Police to revenge against the West Nile based club.

Another big factor is that they will be seeking to return to winning ways in their bid to beat up relegation scares this season.

Speaking ahead of the game, Police FC Head Coach Abdallah Mubiru says they have prepared well for the game as they polished the mistakes in their last game against Express.

“As always I will start by glorifying the lord and thank him for the gift of life he has accorded us and so many other good things. A league is a marathon, yes we made mistakes from the previous game but from that day, our focused turned to the Onduparaka game. I’m very pleased with the team, players have been working hard and we are looking forward to getting maximum points,” Mubiru told the club’s media on Thursday.

Seated in the 12th position with 24 points, Police, who are just three points above safety will have all eyes on maximum points to avoid dropping to the red zone with only seven games to go.

Meanwhile the Visitors Onduparaka will be targeting a third consecutive win in the league when they visit the Cops on Friday.

The West Nile based club has won two consecutive games in a row, winning 1-0 at home against Mbarara City and Picked a 2-1 win over Wakiso Giants away from home recently.

Back on the road again, they will be targeting more three points in their bid to beat up relegation this season. They are seated in the 13th position with 24 points, but are just three points above safety.

With them out of the Uganda Cup having suffered a 1-0 defeat to SC Villa recently, Onduparaka’s main focus is now on saving their season in the league, starting with their game on Friday against Police.

Denis Ojara has been outstanding

The reverse fixture saw Onduparaka register a 1-0 win over the Cops in a game held in November last year in Arua, thanks to Emmanuel Oketch’s late strike.
