City Oilers eased past Ndejje Angels to finish the first round of the Tusker-Lite sponsored NBL on a high note.

Jimmy Enabu returned to the team, since the accident, with a bang. He bagged 17 points and 6 assists.

Ruai Luak and Ivan Muhwezi scored 14 and 13 points respectively while James Okello had a double double of 11 points and 13 rebounds.

For Ndejje, Hassan Sentamu had 13 points and was the only Ndejje player to score in double figures.

Ndejje managed just five points against Oilers’ 21 in the first quarter, and the University side never recovered in a game they trailed from start to finish.

They were poor from outside the arc, missing 24 of their 26 shots, were out-rebounded 49-53 and made 26 turnovers in a performance they will want to forget quickly.

City Oilers finish the first round with 11 wins from 13 games, with their only two losses coming against Nam Blazers and UCU Canons.

They are second on the table behind UCU Canons as Power drops to third with a 9-3 record.

This was the ninth loss for Ndejje Angels who have only won thrice, and sit third from the bottom.
