Uganda Premier League side SC Villa are set to confirm the capture of midfielder Brian Nkuubi.

Nkuubi is a free agent after ending his stay at Maroons where he joined in July 2020.

He trained with the Jogoos on Monday at East High School in Ntinda, and Villa new coach Dusan Stojanovic might have been impressed.

The Jogoos will be expected to go big in the transfer window as the Club is likely to loose a couple of players including Gift Fred and Charles Bbaale who are free agents.

It’s strong to note that Nkuubi was named MVP in the concluded season of FUFA Beach Soccer League with St Lawrence.

Nkuubi played for Kira Young before he was captured by Vipers in 2015.

At Vipers, he won two Uganda Premier League title during his five-year stay at the club.

He was later released in August 2020 before signing for URA FC where he spent two seasons, a spell that saw limited playing time partly due to injuries.

He played for Luzira-based Maroons FC last season.
