Mawokota dropped points for the first time in this year’s Masaza Cup following a goalless draw with Kabula on Saturday.

The game, held at Bakijulula grounds, saw both sides fail to find the back of the net in the entire game.

It was a frustrating day for Mawokota, who had won all their two opening games.

They had earlier beaten defending champions Busiro in their opener and also took care of Gomba last weekend.

But on Saturday, Kabula proved to be a hard nut to crack and they were denied maximum points away from home.

The draw leaves Mawokota on top of the Muganzirwaza group with seven points after three games.

While for Kabula, they have now picked two points after three games.

Elsewhere, defending champions Busiro continued with their poor start this season following their 2-1 defeat to Ssese on Saturday.

Busiro had earlier took the lead through Robert Atuhairwe, who scored in the 23rd minute to put his side ahead before the break.

But a second half brace from Martin Ssegujja ensured that Ssese handed Busiro another defeat.

It was another poor day for Busiro, who have only picked one point after three games.

And they now remain at the bottom of the Muganzirwaza group with just a single point.

For Ssese, they picked their first win and they moved to four points.
